Equipment we repair

Five categories, and the regional stressors do not attack them the same way. 75 percent mean relative humidity, a long heat-rejection season, salt on the coast and about 68 thunderstorm days a year each find a different part to work on.

  • Dominant stressor · Humidity

    Built-in refrigeration

Panel-ready refrigeration is sealed into cabinetry in a climate that runs a 70-degree dew point for five months. The failures follow from that.

  • Dominant stressor · Heat load

    Ice machines

An ice machine runs a freeze cycle and a harvest cycle against a Florida summer. Which of the two has stopped working decides the whole diagnosis.

  • Dominant stressor · Humidity

    Dishwashers

Half the dishwashers we are called to are working correctly and installed badly. Telling those two apart is the first thing the diagnostic does.

  • Dominant stressor · Power loss

    Wall ovens and ranges

An oven that bakes long is a measurement problem first. We probe the cavity through a full cycle before deciding what, if anything, is broken.

  • Dominant stressor · Heat load

    Cooktops and ventilation

Ventilation is a humidity control device here, not just a smoke extractor. When it stops capturing, the refrigerator three feet away notices.

Recent calls across these categories

Rated 4.6 out of 5 across 101 customer reviews. Every entry below is one appointment, written up afterwards by the householder whose kitchen it happened in.

One from each of three different categories, picked from the URL rather than chosen.

  • One burner kept clicking and refusing to stop sparking. He replaced the spark module and dried out the ignition harness, and explained why our damp winters bring that fault on. It has lit normally since.

  • An older kitchen where the appliance had been squeezed into a cabinet that was never built for it. He explained why the clearance was strangling the heat rejection before touching a part, and the rebuilt airflow path fixed the warm shelf.

  • Baking was uneven front to back in a wall oven set into an older cabinet. He checked the cavity temperature, the door seal and the installation clearance together, and the fix turned out to be the seal and the levelling.

What it costs

What does a repair cost across these categories?

One fee to find out: $80, flat, and it comes off the bill the moment you say go ahead. Past that, built-in appliance work across this coast sits between $240 and $670, and where inside that band a job lands is decided by the part that failed rather than by the badge on the door.

The category page narrows this table to the repairs that category generates.

Parts and labor by repair, built-in appliance. A band, not a price tag: it is where work of this kind lands in this market, and your own figure goes in writing once the appliance has been measured.
Repair Parts and labor
Diagnostic visit, flat $80
Ice maker, water valve or supply line $240–$670
Evaporator or condenser fan motor $280–$600
Door gasket or seal replacement $240–$600
Defrost heater, thermostat or sensor $240–$610

You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor begins. Nothing proceeds without your approval.

Asked before choosing a category

What does a built-in appliance repair cost in Northeast Florida?

$80 to come out and find the fault, credited back the moment the repair is approved. The work itself lands between $240 and $670 on this kind of equipment — $240–$670 for ice maker, water valve or supply line, $240–$610 for defrost heater, thermostat or sensor — and which of those it turns out to be is the thing the visit settles. Your own number goes in writing before a part is ordered.

Which counties do you cover?

Duval County, St. Johns County, Clay County, Nassau County. Roughly a 40-mile working radius from the Jacksonville core. $80 flat diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair when you approve the work.

What happens if the repair does not hold?

Our own work carries 90 days on labor and 365 days on the parts we fit, and we fit genuine OEM parts only. That is our warranty rather than a manufacturer warranty, and it neither extends nor replaces one. If the same fault comes back inside those terms, the return visit is ours.

Not sure which category you have?

Describe the symptom rather than the diagnosis. "The freezer is fine and the refrigerator is warm" narrows a built-in unit to one sealed circuit. "The glasses came out chalky" is a water question before it is a dishwasher question. "It stopped the morning the power came back" is an electronics question. We would rather sort that out on the phone than send a technician to the wrong appliance.
